An Illustrated Guide To Bagged Milk

(For non-Canadian followers or anyone from the west coast.)

Because I’m a Canadian taking part in an international program, all of my friends come from around the world, and one of the most common discussion points are cultural differences and stereotypes. I’m taking a class at FSU on Cross-Cultural Communication, but nothing could have prepared me for the barrage of questions I would receive regarding milk.

It comes in bags, you see. Which is apparently a Canadian thing.

So, let’s take a moment now to explain this wonderfully strange and foreign concept!

You go to the store and buy a bag of milk:

Inside are some smaller bags:

You insert a smaller bag into a pitcher (below):

Cut a hole in the bag, and pour! 

Yay! Canada!
